BACKGROUNDGreg Apathy
has over 20 years of service to organizations as a turnaround consultant and
as a senior executive in a variety of roles and industries. He has served in the capacity of an advisor
to company management as well as secured and unsecured creditors. He has
proven leadership skills in both financial and operational environments
including financial reporting and analysis, cost reductions, cash flow
forecasting and improvements and operational/financial control
assessments. He has completed numerous
workout and turnaround transactions, acquisition and sale transactions,
bankruptcy filings, private debt offerings/restructurings and public offerings. AREAS OF EXPERTISEMr. Apathy is an accomplished leader in assuming
day-to-day management control of companies in both financial and operational
roles leading to improved profitability.
He has substantial experience in advising troubled companies and secured
lenders including marketing a company for sale or liquidation, collateral
analysis, financial reporting and management evaluation. He has assisted troubled companies in
negotiations with secured and unsecured creditors resulting in improved cash
flow and profitability. Mr. Apathy has
represented debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, equity holders and
Trustees in Chapter 11 reorganizations, Chapter 7 liquidations, out of court
turnarounds, orderly wind-downs and assignments for the benefit of creditors. His experience with distressed companies
from both the consultant and manager prospective has made him adept in
dealing with employee issues during difficult financial situations. Mr. Apathy has advised troubled companies in a wide
array of industries including manufacturing, construction contracting,
retail, property management, transportation and technology driven
enterprises. These companies have
ranged in size from $1 million to $300 million in annual sales. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCEMr. Apathy joined High Ridge Partners in 2001. Prior to
that time, he worked for 8 years as the Controller and Chief Financial
Officer of a highly leveraged manufacturing companies in the building
materials industry with annual revenues in excess of $100 million. Also, he spent 8 years working in the
assurance and consulting group at Deloitte & Touche specializing in
middle market companies in the manufacturing and construction industries. EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONSMr. Apathy received his Bachelor of Science in
Accounting from Mr. Apathy is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Illinois Certified Public Accountant
Society (ICPAS), Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and the Association
